Biography
Although I like to wear different hats, I am specifically invested at present in a protracted study of Shakespearean theater. My research explores the immanent logic of Shakespeare’s textual system, but also considers Shakespeare’s refractions through time—his influence on a wide variety of literary, cultural, theoretical, and political traditions. I am especially interested inShakespeare’s anticipatory power, the sometimes dizzying interiority of his characters, and the equally confounding variety and breadth of his dramatic/historical concerns.
