Biography
Within my research, I am drawn towards the elegy, hybrid texts, auto-fictional novels, and how the global circulation of such forms can open occasions for considering alternate modes of inheritance, labor, diasporic relation, and reader/writer relationships.
My work as a scholar is always informed by my work as a poet. Before arriving at Brown, I worked as a lecturer at Cornell University and taught classes such as “Race, Writing, and Power” and “Introduction to Creative Writing.” I hope to continue encouraging critical-creative research and writing methods within my future teaching.
