Biography
My research interests include ecopoetics, science fiction, speculative fiction, and other narratives, non-narratives, and writings on disaster, nature, migration, objecthood. My research intersects with black feminist thought, new materialisms, ecocriticism, and science studies.
I am also a poet, and my work has been featured in Cathexis Northwest Press, Serotonin, The Marrow Journal, and fifth wheel press.
Teaching
In Fall 2026, I am teaching Engl 0900: Critical Reading and Writing I: The Academic Essay. My section focuses on environmental writing, ecocriticism, and climate reporting.
