Biography

My research is in global Anglophone literature, with a focus on matters of race, capital, and coloniality in poetry across a range of forms and regions. I’m interested in how to do things with words, as well as the epistemological and ontological claims of language, in world-historical contexts from the 20th century onward.

Before Brown, I studied poetry and worked as a university lecturer.
