Biography

I am interested in the ways in which remembering is theorized, depicted, and challenged in early modern drama and poetry. I want to consider how memory is adapted in order to comply with social, political, or emotional motivations. Through the lens of temporality studies, I want to explore the instability of memory and its effects in poetic and dramatic performance. While I primarily engage with Shakespeare and his contemporaries, I want to discover how other literary cultures interact with recollection.
