Biography
My current research and teaching interests focus on how early modern literature utilizes elements of law to interrogate relationships, violence, morality, and individuality. I am interested in how senses of law are adapted in verse and dramatic works to highlight the social impact that individual actions can create, as well as the social contracts that define what is moral. Prior to attending Brown, I extensively researched the ways that early modern authors depict memory on the early modern stage. Additionally, I have spent considerable time in the special collections of the Newberry Library as a researcher and library assistant.
